No Scanner? No Problem!
...if you have old damaged photograph(s) to restore, but no scanner, there is a simple solution:
Just take your photo(s) to a local store that makes photo prints and have them do the scanning for you.
Stores that definitely can do this include Walgreen and CVS, and I imagine that Wal-Mart and Target can also.
I went to my local (Texas) Walgreen and CVS and asked, "If I bring in 10 photos to scan, and want to get the digital images on a CD to take with me, what will it cost?"
The staff member at Walgreen's said $2.99, the CVS person said $3.29. For 10 photos, that's only about 30 cents per photo.
And, you can do it yourself so your precious photographs always stay in your possession.
If you choose to do this, please email miles@399Retouch.com for information on how to mail the CD by US Postal Service.
Alternatively, when you get back home with the CD you can transfer the digital files to us over the internet (up to 5 pictures at a time) using TransferBigFiles.com or SendSpace.com
